Seeking Letters of Intent for The Glades

Northwest Florida Community Housing Development Corporation is seeking letters of intent from local general contractors who may be interested in responding to an upcoming Request for Proposal for the development of The Glades. Northwest Community Housing is a nonprofit developer related to Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, but whose mission is to address other housing needs of the community beyond the classic mission of Habitat for Humanity which focuses exclusively on affordable homeownership.

The Glades is a small development which will provide affordable rental housing opportunities for adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities and will be the first of its kind in our community. The development will consist of three duplexes, each with a two bedroom|two bath unit on one side and a one bedroom|one bath unit on the other. It is located at 4020 North Ninth Avenue, within the city limits of the City of Pensacola.

We have been working with Jehle-Halstead civil engineering on the site preparation plans and with the architecture firm Dalrymple|Sallis who are currently completing final drawings. We hope to have site work underway within 120 days, with construction directly following.

If you would be interested in participating in the bidding for this project, please respond to this notice with a Letter of Intent stating such, together with a summary of your qualifications and anticipated availability during the time frames stated above.

Letters of Intent should be directed to:

Please respond by October 16, 2018. Thank you for your consideration.
